About the Clinic

What is Ainsley's Osteopathic Practice?

Ainsley's Osteopathic Practice is a complimentary health clinic which specifically provides the service of osteopathy to the general public. The clinic was originally established in the 1970’s when it provided a range of complimentary and alternative medicines (also known as CAM’s). However, in 1996 when Mr. Ainsley took ownership of the clinic we chose to specialise in physical therapy providing treatment for physical injuries and musculo-skeletal conditions and problems.

What does the clinic do?

Ainsley's Osteopathic Practice provides osteopathic health care to the local and neighbouring communities of Hartlepool in Cleveland in the North East of England. Osteopathy is a hands on system of health care that is used to provide relief from a wide variety of physical ailments. At the clinic we are able to provide treatment for arthritic pain, aches and pains, headache, muscle problems and injuries, back and neck pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, joint pains, sports injuries, tension, repetitive strain, trapped nerves, neuralgia, rheumatism and rheumatic pain.

A typical consultation and programme of treatment will include a thorough discussion of your general health, a detailed discussion about your current symptoms and problem, a physical examination, a diagnosis indicating what is wrong, a programme of hands on treatment to improve your condition and relieve pain, advice on home management such as amount of rest required, appropriate exercises, and other methods for pain management, and any further information you may require. Information about other treatment options is also available.
